After some trouble with the previous MP3 player Cowon iAudio E2 4Gb, I realized that I need a player with a display. I mainly listen to music and audiobooks, so I decided to take a simple QUMO 4Gb Excite without any bloat. Liked lovely design, comfortable ear clip, color display, good sound. But the happiness from a new purchase was not long.My first disappointment was that after turning off the player and turn it back on the track on which I stayed didn’t start from the stop point. For listening to music is not a big tragedy, but for audio books is not acceptable. Rewind is only for the track forward/back. That is, if you cut the player, without hearing the Chapter, you’ll have to listen from the beginning. And I don’t want to! The conclusion is that for listening to audiobooks it is not suitable.My second disappointment was that this player is somehow specific mixes tracks. That would be more clear on that I’m complaining, imagine what 10 tracks are numbered from 1 to 10. When you click “shuffle” order becomes roughly the following: 1-6-3-9-4-2-8-5-10-7. And that’s all! Either 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 or 1-6-3-9-4-2-8-5-10-7. This is especially jarring when you’re trying to shuffle mode to rewind to the next track, I get again the same 1-6-3-9-4-2-8-5-10-7 again. Songs 1-6-3 starting to wear, and domotai to 5-10-7 actually probably impossible.Hence the conclusion: the player is not bad, it’s just I’ve grown out of such things, but for a child like this player will be a good gift. Especially design merry)))
