Latest review: I bought this on sale and it is not powerful. I expected more and thought it was a great deal but after comparing I should have done research
Latest review: I like some air moving and some white noise in the office. The Holmes fan provides just that. I use it clipped on a shelf and can't comment on how well the stand works. The clip, however, is sturdy and sufficiently strong, and opens wide enough to grip well. I only use the low speed and it's more than enough. Only drawback is the knob that's turned to adjust speeds. It may have to be where it is, but it's awkward to reach behind the fan and manipulate, as one would need to do when it's clipped facing the user. I just open the clip, move fan a little closer to turn on or off and then return it to original position a little farther away. Not a deal breaker but something worth pointing out.

Latest review: We have oil heat so at least once a year we have an issue where the heat just goes out. Have a lot of draft spots too so our downstairs never reaches over 70 degrees when it's cold. Within 10 min I could feel heat in my large living room. This is a great heater for the price!

Latest review: The design is decent and it does heat up quickly. However, using it in our bedroom, it is not powerful enough to maintain heat at 68 degrees. It just runs all night, never quite reaching temperature. For reference, we keep the door closed and have a well insulated home, but it is in the mountains with lows ranging from 10-25 degrees overnight. We have to use this along with an old sunbeam quartz heater to keep the room warm enough overnight. Our bedroom is large, but certainly not massive. I expected this heater would do the trick, but it just isn't. Disappointing.I'm going to try the Dr. Infrared DR-968 and see how that works. I expect it will be much better.Bottom line, if you're supplementing an existing heating system (which we do not have), or only heating a small room (and I mean small), it should work fine. But don't rely on it as a sole heating device for even a decently sized bedroom. It simply will not cut it.

Latest review: This tower fan is the best fan I have. You can add ice water to make it cooler. The fan doesn’t rotate but oscillating. When you open it right from the box, you don’t have to screw anything. It is ready to use once out of the box. Also, you are able to clean filter. This is an easy to use fan.Cons: button is a bit loud when you press any of the buttons

Latest review: I just got this in today. I have a vertical window in that you open it by moving it to the side, not up and down. So be aware that this is clearly designed for a horizontal window.I spend over an hour being frustrated. The kit itself would be very good IF the panels all have screw holes. The way it's designed, is that you take the extender and you put screws in ONE side of the panel and then just set it in the panel where the kit connects. You don't screw them together. If you're going to use this on a vertical window.... here are some tips..Get some serious tape. Measure your window, set up the length you need and hardcore tape that bad boy.If you're like me, it will also be too short. The instructions show how another extender would work, but you only get one. My window is 48 inches high, and it clocked in at about 43-45 inches, give or take. That meant I had to make up for the space. I just jury-rigged some cardboard since it would mean buying another panel otherwise. So far it's working.I live in a studio apartment. I set the temp to 69, where I like it, once it started. I gotta say... it feels pretty cool in here (caveat that I have two massive ceiling fans always on.I wouldn't call it loud. I think it has the volume of any AC unit. So, it's pretty acceptable. So, so far, I like it, but I think the kit construction could use some serious foresight. It works fine, I'm sure, for horizontal windows, but it's rage-inducing if you don't have that. You could, I suspect, drill some holes in the panels and put them together yourself, but that would require me buying a drill, and more screws. Why do that when the company could just drill some additional holes on the other side of the extender, and then some additional holes in the panel so it's more secure? For the general price of it, another extender panel would be nice too.

Latest review: I like it because I don’t have a window where a window unit would fit . It’s not as quiet as I had hoped for. But also no worse than regular air conditioners . I’m happy with it so far .
Latest review: Save your money. This fan doesn't put out enough water to make any difference in the temperature whatsoever. The air two feet in front of the fan is the same temperature as 2 feet behind. It moves a lot of air and makes a lot of noise but does not cool at all. I should have been more skeptical when I saw in the the product description that it can be used indoors. I am in a medium-low humidity area of the country where evaporative coolers should work well but this design is a major fail. There are no "misters" per se; just a spinning disc that throws large water droplets in front of the moving air. The droplets are too large to evaporate quickly so they simply fall back into a catch drain and flow back into the water reservoir. Next summer I'll be adding a true mister kit to the front of this loser to see if I can get it to work that way.

Latest review: I have an insulated attached garage with a nice insulated door. This thing will keep it toasty warm. It will take my insulated garage from 48 to 68 in about 40 minutes then run on and off to maintain. I ceiling hung mine s the temp sensor picks up the temp above the working area. I set min 5 degrees higher then desired. Once it has cycled a few times I typically turn it off till it feels chilly. It is not the quietest, but definitely not overwhelmingly loud.

Latest review: Big fluctuations in heat. My very small room is consistently 62*. Setting the heater is simple and it heats up nicely but it heats the small room to 82* and then doesn't come back on til room temperature drops to 72*. I can't get it adjusted to maintain a consistent temp of 73*-77*. I can live with a 5* swing but not 9-10*. Admittedly, my situation is not typical but the big swings are not good. So I'm returning it.

Latest review: After having it for a only a few weeks we couldn't use the "high heat" option because it would over heat too quickly so we only use it on low... And now after 2 months, it overheats after 3-5 minutes and shuts off. Loved the oscillating option and remote, but of it won't stay on, so we have to wait for it to cool, press the reset button, and start over again.

Latest review: I’ve owned this machine for several years and is by far the best humidifier I’ve used. So long, gross bacteria hoarding humidifier filters. The cartridges are very easy to replace, and the machine runs flawlessly without one though will necessitate more frequent cleaning. It is a running machine so it does produce noise but I’ve mitigated that by putting a hand towel under it on my wooden nightstand. This helps collect errant drops of water when replacing the water tank after fill ups. Speaking of fill ups, I use the machine on the lowest setting and get two full nights with one tank of water. I have a hydrometer nearby and the humidity in my room jumps from 30 to 60% with this machine in operation. More so, this machine just makes you feel better sleeping under its gentle mist. I like to tell people it moisturizes your insides. This machine is used non-stop from fall through spring until the humidity of Maryland summers creeps in.

Latest review: We've been using this guy for over 2 months and it is holding up nicely. We use it every night which helps a lot with allergies, colds, and our room stayed too hot so it works so great for that. We fill it up with water and generally it lasts until really late the next morning so it will go all night. We bought this for our newborn but decided that once she transitions to her room we will buy one for ourselves.

Latest review: I purchased this unit on 6/27, on day 31 I awoke to soaking wet carpet. There is a massive leak in the bottom of the unit. The unit is described as self evaporating but I didn't think they meant leaking out the bottom! According to the manual there is a red alarm light that should come on and the unit is supposed to shut down if the drainage should become an issue. Never happened, just continued to run and no alarm light. We looked at it and even added a drain hose to the back drain to the outside and we experienced large leaks 2 more times. Not to mention that it doesn't cool well at all.I wish I had read these negative reviews before purchasing. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money.

Latest review: I know what you are thinking. Looking for something cheap on those hot summer days to cool off your house or room. Do your self a favor, and spend a little more money on an actual AC unit. This thing requires water, which is fine, but after a while, it stinks. It feels cheap as well. Which is surprising for a Honeywell product.
