Latest review: The watch is a beautiful color and has a countdown timer, which isn't always a feature, even if a watch has alarms and stop watch features. I love wearing it because it's so bright and cheery and allows me to quickly set a 1/2 hour countdown to meeting starts, etc.

Latest review: The smartwatch market has exploded over the past few years, so figuring out which models have the features I want is not easy. I have been very happy with the price/performance/feature balance of my vivoactive 3 Music with LTE. I haven't leveraged the LTE part very much yet, but overall I am very pleased. The learning curve to set this up is not trivial (including apps for my phone and computer, Garmin user account, linking to MapMyRun, adding other watch faces, etc.), so don't expect to pull this out of the box and immediately start using all of the features. But now that mine is configured, I have been very happy. My only minor gripe is that when I start an activity (e.g. Run, Walk), it can take a while to acquire the GPS signal (up to a minute). But once it gets the signal, it is fine after that.

Latest review: I really wanted to like this watch. I use it for long distance running, and it works great for activity tracking, just like my prior forerunner watches. But the music functions are not ready for primetime. The worst problem is that the watch only works with a handful of types of headphones. Don't just assume your favorite headphones will work. Garmin even has a page on its site listing the compatible 'phones -- and it's a tiny list. Lots of complaints about this on the internet. I kept wondering why different headphones would not pair at all, or would pair but not offer full functionality (volume buttons not working, pause button not working, etc.) I went through three different kinds before even finding that page, so do your homework before buying! Ridiculous that Garmin would release a watch with such poor bluetooth. I'm still going through the list of approved headphones looking for one that works and that I also like. Very frustrating so far.Another problem with the music is the Amazon music app. It's also buggy and not ready for primetime. Not sure if it's Amazon or Garmin at fault here, but it was useless for me. Fortunately, the Spotify app works well, so if you use that platform you should be OK.Also, the battery life isn't great. After a 4 hour run playing music and tracking, the brand new watch is nearly drained. It's enough for now, but if the battery degrades over time, it will become a problem. Finally, there's a bad design choice which might become an issue over time. The charging port is on the back face of the watch, so it rests against my skin. It gets gunked up with sunscreen and sweat every time I use it. I clean it out every time and so far haven't had a problem, but I worry it will eventually corrode. Prior forerunners had a better positioned port, so this wasn't a concern.

Latest review: This watch is for serious runners that want advanced analytical information about their training and if price is not an issueI bought the 645 non-music version and even without music it still has so many features.Features and Pros--so many advanced analytical information about your training through Garmin Connect App such as VO2 Max(tracks the consumption of oxygen during an exercise.) My VO2 max is a 50 which is an average for runners, below 27 is very poor.-Has GPS- this is great for tracking locations in the Garmin Connect App-live heart-rate monitor-contact-less payment meaning you don't need your cards to pay just your watch(have not tried it yet)-notifications for messages and phone calls-activities to track including biking, strength, trail, run, treadmill, indoor track, pool swim, ski, snowboarding, rowing, walk, and plus like 10 more activities to track.-Tracks sleep monitor-great battery life-I've used it for only 2 weeks and only charged it twice(supposedly will last 12 hours in GPS mode)-great activity tracker for step counting and floors climbCons- Bluetooth sometimes disconnect if you're too far away from it-not touchscreen( I prefer buttons due to when running I just press a button instead of swiping.)-Of course the Price($400non-music version- 450 with music

Latest review: If rating only the hardware I give this watch 5 stars. If rating only the mobile app I give this watch 1 star or even zero stars if possible. I’ve owned (and can reliably compare) Apple watch, Fitbit, Garmin, and even the short-lived Microsoft watches, and this Suunto hardware is hands-down my favorite. The screen is large so call, text, and app messages display clearly. On the main screen I can read time, date, battery, steps, and Bluetooth connection status clearly. This watch has many unique features including compass, sun-up and sun-down, barometer, temperature, five-buttons to control functions, flashlight, and an AMAZING battery life. My ONLY complaint with hardware is the alarm which is a single on/off alarm, and I’m used to most watches offering multiple alarms. Lastly, I’ve been hard on this watch (along with all others), and its durability is the best I’ve experienced. Then there’s the mobile app, or maybe better said lack of a mobile app. The mobile app manages some watch settings such as 12/24hr, backlight, tones, units, compass, and more, but it doesn’t offer even the most simple step counter, health tracking, or exercise history. If not for managing and sending messages from your mobile device to the watch there’d be no need to have the app. If Suunto developed even a decent mobile app they’d stand out in the smartwatch arena, but they haven’t. And it doesn’t make any sense to me WHY! Today people expect two-way communication with a smartwatch, but the Suunto app only sends data to the watch and doesn't receive any data from the watch. I’ve surprised myself the decision that hardware trumps software, and have kept this watch. I had the box out to return it for several weeks, but because this is my favorite watch hardware wise it’s still with me. Darn it Suunto, develop decent mobile apps!
