Latest review: Let me state to start off with this is my first laser projector. I didn't know what to expect, have any idea of how to even start setting this up, or what would be required to use with this to watch movies like we were in the theater. When it arrived, I was surprised how small it really is, not that I minded, as I didn't need another large thing in our family room that required another piece of furniture or a lot of room. Like I said, I had no idea how to use one of these, so had to go through the included manual step by step. The set up manual is pretty decent, and videos can be found on Epson and Youtube for help. The unit itself is good looking, and very solid. Comes with the main projector unit, an Android TV stick, and remotes for both. Set up was not near what I thought it would be, and I actually learned more by just getting it powered up, and trial and error with the settings. This is designed to be used with a streaming stick, thus the included Android TV stick. I'm not familiar with Android TV, or the stick, and really couldn't find much info online about it, but there sure are plenty of references to Android TV, but not the stick itself. I use the Amazon Fire Stick on all three TV's in my home, and have some extras as I updated the to the latest 4k versions. This projector will let you use the Firestick, or any stick, that plugs into an HDMI port, and powered by a standard Micro USB cable. Both are built into the rear of the unit, and accessible by removing the rear cover. I did try the Firestick, and worked exactly like it does on the TV. The Android TV stick I was not familiar with at all, but it seems to be based on Google Play, and Android Apps, and any app from Google Play can be downloaded to the unit. You then have a home page (accessed on remote) where all your apps are located. I only downloaded a few, and those are casting apps. Chromecast Built In is also included. I've never used Chromecast, or the dongle device, and although this is labeled Chromecast, it's not a separate device. I'm not familiar with Chromecast Built In, and as of today, still have not quite figured it out. I found all kinds of apps stating they are Chromecast (Built In), some free, some paid, and was actually jut looking for an official Google Chromecast App, or information, and couldn't find either. I'm sure there is one, but I couldn't find it, and directions to cast to the Chromecast Built In has kind of eluded me. I have YouTube TV, and what we use to watch cable TV. This is easily accessible on the Android TV stick, as well as Netflix, Hulu, and many other Movie & TV apps, but no Amazon Prime. I know it can be side loaded, but was hoping to have it just available on Google Play. This was a bummer, as this is where we really get most of the movies we watch, I'm sure Google would prefer me to rent them from their service, but renting movies one at a time is much more expensive then what Amazon Prime offers. In any event, we really were looking at the projector to watch new movies we haven't seen before, and not actually something we'd use everyday for watching TV, or movies we've seen a dozen times. After getting myself kind of familiar with this (I really only have so much time in an evening, and it took me well over 10 days of time here and there to get familiar with this), I realized we would need a screen to watch movies on. This states you can watch it on anything, which you can, but to us, we really wanted a flat screen to watch this on. Amazon offers a multitude of screens for this, even in the Warehouse, and I found a nice manual 100 inch 16:10 screen for about $60 bucks. Also, I'm assuming this is made to be used anywhere, but setting it up every time when it's moved is a pain in the butt. We're using this in my family room, with a cathedral ceiling, and beams up there, not a dry-walled ceiling. I ordered a ceiling mount for this so I could find a permanent home for it, and not have to go through the process of setting it up again when it's moved. Ceiling/wall mounts are also available in all price ranges on Amazon, and again I found a nice one in the Warehouse (I always look in the Warehouse first if I need something, just to see if I can save a few bucks, and if the condition is not what I expected it to be when it arrives, I've never had an issue getting a replacement, refund, or partial credit). The ceiling mount I ordered was $29 bucks and change (Used-Like New), but there were many available lower in price (higher as well). I installed an electrical outlet where I was gonna put the ceiling mount, so I could plug it in right there. One thing if you decide to just use this on a table (you can), the foot that is built in to adjust the height was really the only part of this whole unit that was flimsy, and really cheap. It's released by a button right next to it, which also locks it in place. To me, the design is horrible, and seems more like an after thought. It works, but I think could have been much better, as it is an integral part of of using the unit. After getting everything installed, and mounted on the ceiling, including figuring the "throw distance", and installing the screen to the beams, it is now in a permanent spot, and easier to use when we want to watch a movie. When operating, a main menu can be used by a button on the remote, and all settings for picture are there, as well as adjustments for squaring the picture to whatever it is projected on. The distance the projector is from the screen is important to having it show the right size, but once you get this all set up right, it is pretty cool. I'm grateful there is Bluetooth built in for audio. The speaker installed in the unit is OK, but doesn't have the sound of a theater system, and what we wanted for this. I don't own a home theater system, but have a great soundbar (Dali Katch One) and some speakers built into the walls in the room. The one thing I don't understand, and still have a problem with, is why there are settings for connecting to Bluetooth on the unit itself, and the Android TV stick. I'm constantly having an issue getting sound to work. I can easily get sound from the unit with Bluetooth turned off, but not what I want. I can easily pair soundbar or wall speakers, but still get no sound. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong, but it eludes me what that is. I wish there was only one way to pair, and I'm sure that is where I'm having the problem. At times, it gets so frustrating when I'm trying to watch something (and my family is sitting there waiting for me), I'll just shut it down and watch it on TV. I can't keep a dedicated sound to this, as my Samsung TV, with the Firestick, pairs with the soundbar and the wall speakers. I unpair them when we want to use the projector, but still have an issue. This is the only thing I've had a problem with, and sure it's me and not the projector, but still don't quite understand what I'm doing wrong. And, don't get why the unit itself pairs if the stick pairs too. Everything goes through the stick, so why is there pairing with the unit? The manual does not address issues like this, and I'm still stuck figuring this out. I do get it to work 50% of the time, but don't know how I did it. Also, the picture looks great, but color could be a bit better, but definitely not a deal breaker. This sells for $899.00 (as of this review), and from what I see from looking at projector units, a great price for what's built into this. Many similar units sell for well over $2k, or more. This was designed to be an affordable unit for those who can't afford to spend thousands of dollars for a system like this. Even at $899, it's still expensive, and I don't know very many people that could afford to buy this (sorry, I'm just one of those regular folks who live paycheck to paycheck, so do all our friends). But, for those who can (I know you're out there), it's a great option to those really high priced units (unless you have the cash for that $49,000, on sale, Samsung 100" TV in 8k), and you get a pretty awesome projector to watch movies (or TV) on. I've got to say, I think a screen, a mount, and Bluetooth speakers are needed with this. You can make it work without any of those, but adding these things really enhances the quality of what you see, and frankly, it's easier to now just push the power button and it's already set up to watch. If I could get the audio figured out, I'd be extremely happy. I still rated this 5-Stars, as I really think the audio problem is my not understanding how it works, and not the unit. But, It should be easy enough for me to get, and understand how it works. If I'm having a problem like this, I'm sure (I hope) I'm not the only one. The manual should be clearer on how Bluetooth works in relation to the Epson unit, and any stick used, as each can be paired. And not just how to pair with Bluetooth, and no further explanation. But again, I couldn't justify taking a full star off for this, as I don't believe there is any fault with the unit, other than explanation of how it works. A great piece of TV technology, especially at under $900 bucks. For young single guys/gals, set this up and your friends will never stop coming over to watch movies on your 100-150 inch screen! For an OG like me, I got the sound to work last night, watched 1917 on it, and amazed how cool this really is on the big screen, with amazing sound from my speakers. Thrilled I was one of the people fortunate enough to receive this and test it out, it is amazing!

Latest review: I purchased this projector in February and was more than amazed by the overall picture quality and brightness when paired with a Screen Innovations 0.8 screen. The automatic zoom feature was the main selling point for me and I have greatly enjoyed this feature.Unfortunately, two months in to my ownership this projector started having issues in regards to the internal moving parts and making a horrible noise that sounded like a bad fan. Be warned - Sony requires that all repairs on these higher end projectors (even on the > $35K units) be done out of Syracuse, NY, and they will not even consider swapping it for another unit. Also, you will hear stories from the repair facility (which is not Sony) about how parts can delay these repairs for weeks and even months. All in all, I am very happy with the picture quality of this projector, but with that being said I would recommend looking at other brands due to the warranty issues I have had with my projector.

Latest review: So I started with an Anker Nebula Prizm II because it was under $200 with their coupon. However, I decided to try this short throw projector from ViewSonic, because I have limited space in my entertainment room and I didn't want to have to ceiling mount a projector. While this one is 3X the price of the Prizm II, it is nearly 10X the quality and 4X the value of the Prizm II. The difference is nearly night and day!The Zoom feature alone is justifies the price jump for this item. It's so nice being able to place this short throw on a table and not have to worry about picking it up and moving it back and forth to get the image to the correct size for the screen. You can simply zoom in and out to get it to line up correctly with your screen. Be aware the zoom is very slight, between several inches to a max of maybe 6 on the screen, so you'll still have to pick it up and move it if the picture is wildly off, but it's nice to be able to tweak it just right for anyone who's OCD like me.The brightness on this thing is also amazing and the quality is super amazing. With the Prizm II, the corners were always blurry, but with this ViewSonic PX706HD, all parts of the image are clear. And don't get me started on the Auto-Keystone feature, wow, how does it do that? It automatically adapts to the plane of the screen, regardless of where you place it or at what angle. It just works and is amazing! The resolution on this thing is also super amazing. Full HD 1080p content on my 70" LG TV looks pixelated if you stand less than 3 feet from the screen. The only content that looks truly amazing on my 70" TV are shows or movies available in 4K resolution. With this projector, zoomed in correctly and focused to as clear as I can tell, Full HD 1080p content looks really good and I can hardly pick out the pixels. My only regret is that I did not get a projector earlier in life and that I didn't get this particular one.One more thing to note, I purchased this used through Amazon Warehouse. I purchased a "Used - Like New" one and everything came in the original box with original packaging, minus the owner's manual. The ViewSonic projector looked new and had no scratches or blemishes on it. My only complaint is that the lens cap was not on the projector lens and was dangling along with a loose remote with the batteries still in it (yay for batteries, boo for a poorly packed remote). The settings showed 126 hours logged against the projector, which is barely even 1% of the spec for the life span of the bulb at 15,000 hours. That's a neat little feature, kinda like the Trip Odometer in your car.

Latest review: This purchase was a step up from a basic cheap (DrJ) projector. The difference is stunning -- very clear image, short projection distance required for a 100" image. Easy to focus. PowerPoint and HDTV (streaming) show very clearly, including during daylight (with curtains). Great variety of easily accessible image source inputs. Although the projector has an installed speaker, I very much recommend a bluetooth speaker from the image source rather than using the projector's small speaker. Next step will be to see how well it does in outdoor projection in the warmer months.

Latest review: People who buy without researching and then leave negative reviews should be tarred and feathered, lol. HERE are the basics.1. It is bright enough that even in a small office with 6 fluorescent lights overhead you can play a 36-inch image on the wall, after that the darker the better. I use it about 7 feet from the wall for a huge image of about 7 feet.2. 480p, we are all spoiled with numbers we think 480p is bad... 480p is DVD quality. I am old enough to remember when DVD came out and we thought it was the clearest picture possible. Unless you are up close looking for individual pictures, don't worry, your eyes adjust and this does a fine job. You have to think of size... Your local theater can't use 480p because the screen on 20 feet tall, 480 pixels would be about one pixel an inch. But on your wall at maybe four feet tall, pixels blend together and you don't see do much.3. People complain it doesn't have every feature, SO GO BUY THAT ONE! You plug this into an HDMI source and you play video, that is all I want.4. THE MOST IMPRESSIVE SOUND. I just bought a 900 dollar projector with Harmon Kardon speakers AND a subwoofer, and the sound does NOT compare. Even though both units us 3 watt Harmon Kardon speakers, and the big unit has a subwoofer, it only reaches HALF the volume this one does. I use this at HALF volume and it fills the room, higher volume is too loud.So if you want to plug a projector in sometimes to an HDMI source, and never worry about carrying a second set of speakers, this is the one for you.If you want wireless and android and huge built in storage and super bright, go spend 1000 dollars and get it. This is 350, and worth every penny.

Latest review: Couldn’t even use it.Wanted a portable, little projector to use for short videos in presentations that utilized Bluetooth. This thing actually only uses Bluetooth for audio playback. It won’t play any video wirelessly, which is obviously the reason we purchased it.Even the embedded app for screen mirroring is entirely in Chinese. Googling help for changing to English says it’s not necessary; just open mirroring on your phone. The projector just freezes up when trying to play video. Plus, googling that help question lead to other reviews of this piece of crap that say it’s too complicated to use.It appears that most people return it.I should have seen that before purchasing — duh.

Latest review: We have used this pop up screen so many times. We Love it. We take it camping and use it for outdoor sleepovers for birthday partys and family fun night outdoor theater in the summer time. Super easy to set up and take down. The stand is kinda hard to get back into the back as it doesn't want to stay in a circle shape to put back into the bag. So and extra set of hands is nice to have when putting it away. Hope this he;ps anyone who is thinking about buy this screen. Definitely worth the money.
Latest review:
Latest review: I bought the 125" spectrum tab tension version.First the negatives. The screen has some waves near the bottom after extending it down. I quickly found that if I pinched my fingers on both sides of the screen around the bottom weight and slid my fingers down to the side, a few times and the waves would be gone. This would have been a deal breaker if I hadn't found an easy fix. Once you see them, you can't ubsee them. Annoying to have to do every time, but not the end of the world. The weight at the bottom of the screen, which seems to be a long metal rod inside a plastic housing, busted through the plastic holding it in at both ends, presumably during shipping while up on its end with it's height up and all the weight of that (lead?) pushing on the plastic. Relatively minor as it's never going to be on its side, once mounted you'll never notice, but the plastic was seemingly quite brittle as it broke into many small pieces. The brittle plastic broke on one side of the tension adjustment, making it so I can't adjust the tension on one side. This happened when putting the tool in just to see how it worked, with no plans on adjusting it. I had already tested the other side without issue. The brittle plastic gave way immediately and the spring shot out the entire assembly and I can no longer adjust that side, luckily the tension was still there and I don't feel the need to change it. As I learn more about home theater and fine tuning I may want to adjust it, but I won't be able :-(Normally with these issues I'd have surely returned it for another, but the massive size of it and the logistics I assumed would be involved have made me content as they don't effect the watching experience at all.Now the positives.I haven't had any screens ever before so I wasn't sure what to expect and have little to compare to. Still, I was very impressed with the quality of the screen minus the plastic at the bottom. Coming with both an IR remote and RF remote with the 3.5mm port for auto open close trigger is great. Plus coming with a corded switch and ir receiver for descrete builds. Many of these accessories would have been extras you need to buy so I was very impressed they all came with it. On the wired button switch it appears to have an IR receiver window but it does nothing, that would be a great feature to use that as such but the auto trigger fits me nicely. The center channel gets its sound through it decently enough, but it's not as if there isn't a screen there when up close. Sitting down you don't notice. You may want to adjust the center channel slightly higher in output if behind the screen.Celeing mounting was a breeze, the metal is very sturdy, though I wouldn't use the drywall screws they provided, they were pretty pathetic, but irrelevant to most people who would always go for a better mounting option.Picture quality is superb. The screen material feels of very good quality and I love the black borders. I adjusted the screen to be a bit higher and show less black border on top, which was easy to do.Overall I really like the screen, it's impressive and does its job well. I wish I hadn't had the broken plastic issues and waves but it is all manageable. I'd give 2 stars considering the issues but it really just feels wrong to not give it at least a 3. Without the issues it would be a 5, hands down.
Latest review: This screen is so poor design. it's not built to last. There was an amazon agent tricked me into buying this screen, while she was trying to resolve a problem with another order.I just regret that I listened to her.If you want to use this screen in your home, office without taking it a different location, then it might be a good fit, budget-friendly.But: if you are planning to take it multiple locations, then just look for something else. this is going to be a piece of junk sitting in your face...
Latest review: Installation was quick and easy. I purchased the 12" brackets to extend the screen to come down past my T.V. . Screen goes up and down nicely, not to slow not to fast. The remote as stated works but feels cheap ( i question its its longevity) but they is a box switch that you can mount on the wall to control it as well.Other than it took nearly two weeks after ordering to receive it , I had no troubles with the shipping process box was in perfect condition. However the screen does have two creases or stress marks on it. They are toward the bottom and dont really show during use.Overall in happy
Latest review: Really great screen. High quality! Perfect. Easy to use. Motorized and nice remote
Latest review: Bought the manual model because I figured the motor would probably fail within 5 years (planned obsolescence) or so and didn't want to take the risk. When I received my "Manual SRM pro," I found it interesting that Elite screen offers only plastic end caps for some of the best ($250) manual models. However, the motorized screens have metal end caps. The hooks are on the end caps so which model really needs the metal end caps. The motorized one or the one that you're constantly pulling at to retract the screen?! They don't even offer a metal end cap substitute. Should it break, and it will, they charge $25 for a replacement. You'd be better off buying a 3d printer and making your own, or cutting out an aluminum cover from scratch. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Latest review: I use this mount for a 31lbs Sony projector, with no additional mounts or accessories. I wanted something as flush as possible to my ceiling that was sturdy and doesn't stand out, and that's exactly what I got. This in combination with toggle bolts from the local hardware store was all that I needed. For a projector this heavy, it was a two man job though.

Latest review: Fairly easy to set up and take down. Sturdier than expected. Does the job.
